Cattier Champagne House is situated in Chigny les Roses, a charming village in the heart of the ancient Champagne region, between Reims and Epernay. Its vineyards cover over 30 hectares of the prestigious Montagne de Reims terroir and is mainly classified as Premier Cru. It includes one of Champagne’s rarest “Clos” the Clos du Moulin. Today, the house remains independently-owned and run by the family with a staff of fewer than 20 people since their inception in 1763. Patriarch Jean-Jacques Cattier oversees the House’s wine production; with strictly limited annual yields, M. Cattier and his staff ensure that the family’s artisanal winemaking traditions are kept alive. The Cattier cellars are among the oldest and deepest in Champagne, with three styles of architecture represented in the caverns: Gothic, Renaissance, and Roman.
