Those on the top of the hillside are rather sandy, with light and chalky soil, thus giving the Cuvée an always smooth attack. If the finish is always a little more full-bodied on the palate, it is thanks to the heavier and denser clays of the plots on the lower slopes. The result is always a fresh, solid, supple and generous wine that can be enjoyed from its youth.

Look to this wine for the greatest density of the three Savigny cuvées. It displays a glowing ruby colour, while there is a toasty note on the nose from the François Frères barrel, which will soon fold into the fruit. There is additional concentration of fruit, which is also in a slightly darker register. A saline touch at the finish from the marl soil in Les Vergelesses.

Country/Region: France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune

Terroirs: Les Vergelesses 0.87 ha, Basses Vergelesses 1.11 ha.

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Bottle Size: 750ml

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0505/9153/1169/files/savigny_f1a0d22e-de9f-42fd-bcb1-16f4c0d292f5.jpg?v=1791967640
