Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2019
Medium ruby-garnet, already showing early maturity at the rim; translucent and glowing, reflecting a poised evolution in bottle.
The nose is deeply complex: black cherry, cassis and dried plum now shifting into compote and fig-like richness, layered with emerging tertiary notes.
Truffle is already a defining force, joined by cured leather, tobacco, forest floor, dried mushroom, and a subtle incense-like smokiness.
The palate is seamless and fully integrated, with resolved tannins, silky texture, and a warm, sustained acidity that preserves balance and energy.
The finish is long and contemplative — truffle, iron, dried herbs and earthy spice fading into a profound limestone resonance.
At a beautiful early-maturity plateau now, with 15–20 years of further evolution ahead.
