Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2022

The 2022 pours a medium ruby with garnet highlights, luminous and translucent, showing Pacalet’s signature clarity despite Corton’s naturally deeper, iron-rich soils. The nose is powerful yet refined, combining dark cherry, plum, and cassis with violet, wild rose, and dried peony.

A pronounced mineral core of iron, graphite, and crushed stone defines the aromatics, layered with truffle, forest floor, cured meat, and subtle herbal spice from whole-bunch fermentation.

The palate is structured and Grand Cru in scale, with concentrated dark fruit carried by firm but polished tannins and bright, precise acidity. Power is balanced by elegance, with no sense of heaviness.

The finish is long and authoritative, unfolding through iron, dark fruit, and mineral tension into violet, truffle, and warm earth. A Corton Bressandes of depth, balance, and ageing potential (2029–2045+).
