The Volnay 1er Cru Robardelle 2022 shows a luminous, pale ruby colour with striking transparency. The nose is pure and expressive, with red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, and redcurrant lifted by delicate floral notes of violet, rose petal, and peony, alongside subtle crushed stone and limestone minerality. On the palate, it is light, airy, and weightless in texture, with vibrant red fruit carried by crystalline acidity and ultra-fine tannins that are barely perceptible. A distinct mineral spine provides tension and precision through the mid-palate. The finish is long, clean, and stony, fading into red fruit and floral echoes. A highly transparent, terroir-driven Volnay with elegance, purity, and ageing potential.
