Beaune 1er Cru, Cuvee Brunet 2021
161th Hospices De Beaune Wine Auction on the 22nd November 2021
Vintage Report
This historic charity sale commemorates five centuries of generous benefaction, and many members of the Brunet family, dating back to the 1600s (5 of whom were Mayors of Beaune), are in the roll of honor. These vineyards are all Premiers Crus and superbly placed – in Bressandes, Bas des Teurons and Cent-Vignes.
Fine mid crimson purple. There are some red plums in the fruit mix, an ample generosity all the way through to the finish, plenty of charm but also very good backbone, and persistence. The individual components are still in the process of knitting together. Cuvée Brunet will have good ageing potential.
