Gevrey Chambertin Les Evocelles 2018

A restrained if very pretty nose combines both red and dark currant aromas that are nuanced by hints of spice and earth. This isn't as concentrated as the as old vines Gevrey but it's finer with good richness and detail to the stony if somewhat woody and slightly short finish. This is a bit awkward today but may well age out successfully.
