Nuits Saint Georges 2023

The Nuits-Saint-Georges 2023 shows a medium-deep ruby colour, luminous and slightly darker than many Côte de Nuits villages. The nose is structured and expressive, opening with dark cherry, plum, and blackberry, supported by violet, dark rose, and subtle herbal notes from whole-bunch fermentation. Beneath the fruit lies a strong mineral core of iron, graphite, and wet stone, with additional savoury layers of earth, truffle, and cured meat. On the palate, it is firm and direct, with serious structure and concentration, supported by fine-grained but notable tannins. Bright acidity provides energy and lift through the dense mid-palate. The finish is long, savoury, and mineral-driven, marked by dark fruit, iron, and earthy depth.
