Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2013
This is the first wine to really display a generous dollop of wood along with mentholated character present on the dark berry fruit and earth-suffused nose. There is a highly attractive texture to the intense big-bodied flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration along with a subtle minerality that also adds lift to the ever-so-slightly rustic and mouth coating finale. Good stuff.
