The very pretty nose is quite cool and restrained with its broad-ranging panoply of aromas that include red cherry, violet, lavender and a hint of wood spice. There is very fine volume to the refined, intense and gorgeously textured flavors that possess much better overall depth and lovely persistence. This is a CSD of finesse but make no mistake, it has the underlying material and balance to age for years.
