The nose is immediately expressive, with black cherry, blackberry, and plum layered over sweet spice, violet, and classic Gevrey sous-bois notes of forest floor and damp earth, with a subtle savoury edge. On the palate, it is dense and generous, with old-vine concentration delivering depth and texture without heaviness. Fine-grained tannins are well integrated, and bright 2023 acidity keeps the wine fresh and balanced. The mid-palate is rich and mouth-filling, while the finish is long, savoury, and lightly mineral. A structured, age-worthy village wine with clear Premier Cru ambition.
