This has beautiful, purple-ruby colour, with a nose which shows well-ripened, powerfully rich aromas.  The wine is broadly structured, with strikingly dense, compact fruitiness – all the way from first impressions, through the mid-palate, to a long-extended farewell.  This is ageing in tight-grained oak barrels of the highest quality.  Texture is suave and fleshy and the finesse of the tannins absolutely remarkable.  The aftertaste is magnificent.  A very great wine, with superb potential to make sensational drinking, over at least the next two decades
