The 2023 pours a pale, luminous gold with subtle green reflections — generous in tone yet fully transparent, showing Meursault’s natural richness without any oak-imposed weight. The nose is immediately expressive: ripe white peach, golden apple, pear, and lemon curd, all carried with striking clarity and precision. The signature of Les Charmes emerges clearly in its purest form — hazelnut, crushed almond, and a gentle praline note — seamlessly woven into fruit rather than layered on top of it.

With air, the mineral dimension expands: wet limestone, chalk, and crushed seashell form a warm but firm backbone, more enveloping than austere. White flowers, honeycomb, and subtle herbal tones (tarragon, chervil) add lift and aromatic detail, while a faint mineral smokiness deepens the profile.

The palate is broad and silky, with Meursault’s natural richness fully present yet never heavy. Bright, integrated acidity brings balance and drive, allowing the fruit to remain energetic rather than creamy or static.
