The Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Petits Monts 2023 shows a luminous pale-to-medium ruby colour with garnet reflections, translucent and vibrant. The nose is highly expressive, opening with red cherry, raspberry, and blood orange, lifted by violet, rose, and exotic spice, with a refined mineral core of limestone and crushed chalk. With air, deeper notes of truffle, dried flowers, herbs, and earthy forest floor emerge. The palate is silky and precise, combining pure red fruit with crystalline acidity and ultra-fine, seamlessly integrated tannins. A strong mineral backbone provides tension and clarity through the mid-palate. The finish is very long, perfumed, and mineral, with lingering spice, floral, and stony echoes.
